October's 2017 Stamp of the Month S1710.....'Christmas Tunes'......  is available exclusively throughout October 2017 only.... for just $27 or for $7.50 when you spend $75. There are 6  individual stamps in this set with Christmas themed images that will create beautiful artwork. Are you ready to start your Christmas cards?  This stamp set has so many possibilities so check out all the posts for loads of ideas for cards and scrapbook pages.

The large images have lots of details and would look great as embossed images in Gold, Silver, white or what ever colour you fancy for Christmas. I went with simple stamping of the images but played with the sponges for a background. Using a sponge and white cardstock along with glacier ink and Sapphire ink....distress the background using the multipurpose mat and our sponges. I stamped the star from the tree in versa mark ink and clear embossing powder before sponging. Glacier ink was used to cover the whole card and then Sapphire ink to darken the top section and create a starry night. the wreath shape is stamped in Sapphire and cut out and the bow is stamped directly onto the card. The stamped piece is mounted on Silver glitter paper....difficult to see.....and the stars have clear shimmer pen on them so they shine.

Another sample using the Christmas Tree image

ENJOY!!

  2. Lovely technique to use for Christmas cards Wendy. The extra trees in the background of second card are really effective.
